The Markets Equity investors across the world enjoyed positive returns last week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average, the S&P 500, and the NASDAQ Composite were all up between 1.44 percent and 1.51 percent. Asian equities were mixed with China’s Shanghai Composite up 1.81 percent and Japan’s Nikkei 225 Average flat for the week. The Markets Investors in the U.S. were clearly in a risk-on mood as all three major benchmarks were positive for the week. The S&P 500 was up 0.81 percent while the NASDAQ Composite, the outperformer, was up 1.61 percent. Alternatively, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up just 0.11 percent. The Markets Investors were in a risk-on mood following the election results with our domestic markets up more than 3.5 percent for the week. The NASDAQ Composite and S&P 500 indices were both up 3.8 percent while the Dow Jones Industrial Average was the clear outperformer, posting a 5.36 percent return for the week.
